Week 8 newsletter for term 4!
It is not long now until the end of the term and school year and it is hard to believe it has all gone so fast! Last week was full of action with our senior Hub having Bikewise all week helping our students to develop their skills on bikes and on the road. We also had our Hub 3 children visit the beach to learn about safety at the beach and they had a great day with the best day of the week in terms of weather!
Thanks to all of the parents who helped out at the Beach Ed day, we hope you all enjoyed your day too. Our kids certainly had an awesome time and living where we do, it is so important that they know how to be safe in the water at the beach. We want all of our kids to be as safe as they can be over the summer break 🙂
Another highlight for our week was the Annual Ra Whakangahau Festival held at St Mary’s School this year. This is a highlight every year for our amazing Kapa Haka team, who work towards this as a showcase of their years practice. Every year our school and children stand proud at this festival every year and this year was no exception. Our schools performance was amazing, we had an amazing sequence of waiata and even added in some harmonies this year! We would like to give a huge thanks to Whaea Mem for all of her hard work and vision with our tamariki, Mr Baldock for his continued support on guitar, and all of the teachers who support in a variety of ways throughout the year. Thank you also to the parents and whanau who helped out with so much support on the day.
