High Flyers for the Week 14/9/16

Last week we celebrated students from across the school who were acknowledged for making great choices that help them to fly in their lives and learning.  They are listed below and remember that you can access photos from our school Facebook page.

First Flight – New Entrant and Year 1

 Mrs Absalom, Mrs Kendrick Mrs Anthony & Mrs Bishop

Toe Toe Tanisha Chand For working hard on your reading in class and at home. It is great to see you improving in this area. Keep up the great work!!
Tawa Taylah Adams It’s great to see you growing in confidence in all areas of your learning. You are always focused and try your best at all you do, and this is shining through in the progress you are making. Kia Maia!
Harakeke Marcus Rundell For stepping up this week and sharing your ipad skills in our ‘Made on an Ipad Challenge.’ You have explored Puppet Pals and taught your peers the things that you have learnt. Kia Maia.
Kaponga Delta Ryder Wow! You have worked so hard on your reading at home and at school. You have learnt all your yellow words in about a week. Great attitude Delta.
Kopukapuka Ayla Thorby You are a real asset to Hub 1. Every day, you display a positive attitude towards your learning and you step up as a role model to help support others. Kia Maia Stand Proud.

 Take Flight Kian Slater What a pleasure to listen to your reading today. You read with fluency and expression. Thank you for focussing on the words and giving a detailed retell.
 Take Flight Ohomatakura Te Amo o Te Rangi By listening carefully to the instructions you were able to create your rainbow using the “Book Creator” app. You also helped others when they asked. Thank you for being a Kereru.
 Take Flight Tia Huriwai-Wilson You used the iPad app “Book Creator” to create a rainbow. Thank you for working hard to complete the activity in the given time.

 Pohutukawa Catherine Mciver For your dedication towards your reading. You are always looking for ways or things to improve. As a result, your depth of thinking is soaring.
 Karaka Te Ariki Moeke You have stepped up over the past two weeks and offered to help our new boy in Room Karaka. You have been a great leader in kapahaka too.
 Kowhai Shayla Hansen You are quickly learning the Welcome Bay Way. You are a kind and caring Kereru towards your new class mates in Hub 3 and you always rise to a challenge and give new activities a go! Kia Maia, Stand Proud!

 Flight Deck Tayler Lombard You consistently work hard with a positive attitude in all that you do. Stand proud of the improvement in your reading and writing. Fantastic effort Tayler.
 Flight Deck Jade Hoffman-Cassidy You are a true Welcome Bay Learner showing pride in your learning and your leadership role. Even when no-one is watching, you always do the right thing, at the right time for the right reason.
