High Flyers for the Week 24/8/16

Last week we celebrated students from across the school who were acknowledged for making great choices that help them to fly in their lives and learning.  They are listed below and remember that you can access photos from our school Facebook page.

First Flight – New Entrant and Year 1

 Mrs Absalom, Mrs Kendrick Mrs Anthony & Mrs Bishop

Toe Toe Chevy Le Lievre For continued improvement and effort in his reading. He is learning new words every day and is starting to use his letter/sound knowledge to confirm and work out unknown words. Ka Pai!!
Harakeke Rhys Davies You are continuing to impress with your attitude and enthusiasm in maths. You are quick and confident in solving problems and completing tasks. Ka pai Stand Proud.
Kaponga Naomi Davies For quality work at writing time. You make sure your message is clear and check it makes sense. You take care with your presentation too. Kia maia- you are a role model.
Kopukapuka Ashton Smith Wow-It’s great news that you have caught the writing bug! I love your posiitve attitude and the way you are stretching out words so you can hear the letter/sounds You must feel so proud of the way you are becoming an independent writer.

 Take Flight Ethan Wong You have made a great start in Hub 2. We like how you readily join into all the activities. Thank you for always using your manners.
 Take Flight Stormy-Jaye Taikato-Elder You have a great attitude to learning and your effort in making good choices is appreciated.
 Take Flight Jack Morris-Vette It is great to see a huge improvement in your attitude and taking on new concepts like fractions.

 Flight Path – Years  3 & 4

 Pohutukawa Shilay Roiri Its a delight to see you owning more of your actions. You are now starting to choose to turn away rather than being distracted. Kia Kaha.
 Karaka  Praiz Kiwi You have been a Toroa with your learning. Thank you for sharing your thinking with the class – you have great ideas.
 Kowhai Levi Bedford You have shown persiverence in your learning. Its amazing to watch you achieve your goals. You went up not one.. but three reading levels. Kia maia stand proud!!

Flight Deck – Years  4, 5 & 6

 Flight Deck Moui Veikoso For stepping up so you can stand proud of your choices in the Flight Deck. Ka Pai!
 Flight Deck Mervyn Matthews You have shown great focus in your learning, it is awesome to see you perserving with your learning goals. Kia Maia Mervyn.
 Flight Deck Marnie Came It is great to see you seeking adventure. You are beginning to show more courage when trying new things and doing so with a positive attitude. Whaia te pai tawhiti.
 Flight Deck Manaia Te Miha For a wonderful attitude towards your basic facts learning. You were so engaged you didn’t want our workshop to stop!
